Privacy Policy

PingMe is a private messaging app built by Simul Management Solutions. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's protected.

Our core principle

PingMe uses end-to-end encryption for message content. Your private messages are encrypted on your device before they are sent, and can only be decrypted by you and your intended recipient(s). We do not have the ability to read the true content of your messages, and we never store your private encryption keys.

Data we collect

• Phone number : used to create and identify your account, and to deliver one-time passcodes for login.
• Display name and profile info — shown to your contacts on PingMe.
• Message cover text and metadata : the visible “cover” text of a message, timestamps, and sender/recipient identifiers are stored on our servers to deliver and display conversations. This does not include the true, encrypted content of your messages.
• Encrypted message content : stored only in encrypted form; we cannot decrypt it.
• Media you send : images sent through the app are encrypted client-side before upload to our storage provider.
• Device and push notification tokens : used to deliver notifications to your device.

How we use your data

We use the data above solely to operate PingMe: authenticating your account, delivering messages and notifications, maintaining your contact and conversation list, and processing subscription purchases. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your message content for advertising — we cannot, since we cannot read it.

Data encrypted in transit

All communication between the PingMe app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third-party service providers to operate PingMe, including cloud hosting for our backend, encrypted object storage for media, push notification delivery, and RevenueCat for managing subscription purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us and do not have access to your decrypted message content.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted, along with associated data, after 30 days. See our account deletion page for full details.

Your choices

You can enable or disable biometric unlock, screenshot blocking, auto-burn messages, and other privacy controls at any time from the app's Settings screen.
